On Friday, 23rd May 2025 Class 2 ventured out bright and early to visit Tropical World near Leeds.

The trip took place to enhance our Class 2 studies within the science curriculum, giving the children in Class 2 an exciting opportunity to visit the conservation centre.  As one of the world’s first living biobanks, they are on a mission to ‘Save animals from extinction’. The children enjoyed the Wildflower Meadows and Wild Spaces; it is also a home to lots of exciting and exotic animals such as meerkats, monkeys, crocodiles, butterflies and so much more.

Hana said, “One thing I liked was the butterfly room, the place where the turtles were and I loved that it was hot!”

George advised that “Something I found interesting was the blue tongued skink in the small tank!”

Sienna said, “One thing I enjoyed was everyone having fun and watching people dress up… Maria the meerkat and Charlie the Chameleon!”
