We are proud to be able to work closely in partnership with Kids’ Corner, the local childcare provider, to be able to offer Breakfast Club from 7.00am and after-school care to 6.00pm, on our school site.
Breakfast Club is available from 7.00am each morning to provide a healthy breakfast and childcare to give our pupils the best start to the date. The Kids’ Corner staff will also be running the after-school provision. Kids’ Corner are fully Ofsted registered and compliant with all statutory obligations.
Children in Reception to Year 6 can now attend both breakfast club and after-school club on our school site. Kids’ Corner are subject to strict staff to child ratios for nursery-aged children, decided by the DfE, so bookings for nursery-aged children into Breakfast Club or after-school care cannot be offered at any time.
How do parents make a booking?
Families who can book in advance with a weekly or shift pattern will have a regular booking (please see the links below for our Child Record Form and Wrap Around Care Contract Form . Ad hoc bookings are very welcome for both breakfast and after school care and can be booked in on the night before or the same day by calling the dedicated mobile number 07544 858329 for our breakfast and after-school service. How will parents pay for the service?
Parents will be invoiced directly by Kids’ Corner and all payments will be made to them.
What food will be provided?
Breakfast Club – the children will receive cereals, milk or water, toast with healthy toppings.
After-school care – the children will receive a light tea such as toasted teacake, crumpet, sandwich or bagel with a yoghurt or fruit.
Have the staff had training?
The staff members both have experience working with children in various settings and one has the Level 5 qualification and will be the Wraparound Care Manager, dealing with all queries and bookings. Both have had Safeguarding, Paediatric First-aid, Food Hygiene and Allergy training and will follow Kids’ Corners and school’s policies and risk assessments.
We also offer a Holiday Club at Drax at a cost of £6.50 per hour, so please contact us directly to book in advance for this.
